Earnings, such as interest and dividends, in the health savings account are tax-exempt at the federal level. Withdrawals from a health savings account are tax-free as long as the funds are used for qualified medical expenses. (See IRS Publication 502, Medical and Dental Expenses for what counts as qualified medical expenses.)

For 2012: $3,100 maximum contribution for individual coverage; and $6,250 for family coverage. $1,000 for additional catch-up contributions for people age 55 or older.

Texas Professional Associations must file their Annual Statements and related $35 fee with the Secretary of State by June 30th to avoid being given a status of “not in good standing” with the Texas Comptroller.  This “not in good standing” status can effect loan compliance on existing loans, ability to take new loans, and a host of other problems.  You should have already received your 1 page form from the state but if not, or if you have any questions contact us!
