CARES Act update – Thursday, March 26, 2020 12:27PM

News is reporting that the Senate passed the CARES Act late last night.  Unfortunately that puts us in no better position than we were in yesterday after a different version passed the Senate on Tuesday night. ☹  We still need the house to pass the bill and it to be signed into law.  So this is a good report, but it doesn’t mean the bill is final and enacted.  The Washington Post reported the following an hour ago.  It’s looking more and more like it won’t happen today.

The Senate vote sends the bill to the House, where Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said it will be approved Friday. President Trump said he intends to sign it immediately.
