We are a full-service public accounting firm working extensively with dentists and healthcare professionals, providing accounting, tax reduction and wealth building services. Founded in 1987, Edwards & Associates, PC has 25+ years of experience providing financial services to the dental community.

Robert T. Edwards, CPA
Robert is the founder of the Firm and is committed to maintaining an ongoing partnership with clients. He helps them work toward financial success now, and also develops retirement plans to generate financial independence in the future.
Robert’s experience with the dental and medical industry makes him a strategic partner in many aspects of his clients’ lives, from advising associates how to best structure work arrangements with their employing practice, to helping a doctor scratch start a successful practice, to helping a multi-practice doctor develop an exit strategy, just to name few.
A native Texan, Robert graduated from Texas Tech University where he received honors for service as president of Beta Alpha Psi, the honorary accounting fraternity. He lives in Dallas with his wife Dr. Sharon F. Tiger, a nationally known dental practice management consultant, and their beautiful, talented daughter.
Lynn Ledbetter, CPA
Lynn is the Executive Director of the Firm and a great problem-solver. She works closely with clients, helping them implement strategies and accomplish their financial goals. Her expertise, attention to detail and practical guidance make Lynn a terrific asset to clients, as well as an integral part of our own success.
Since joining our team in 1998, Lynn has been committed to helping clients succeed. People especially appreciate Lynn’s hands-on assistance. Years of experience in the education arena have honed her communication skills, allowing Lynn to explain detailed information with ease.
Lynn was born in Texas and raised in the north Dallas area. She earned a mathematics degree from Tarleton State University and a Master of Accountancy from Southwest Texas State University. Lynn lives in Plano with her husband and their daughter.
Dr. Sharon Tiger
Dr. Sharon Tiger is a nationally renowned dental consultant. Her main focus and expertise is patient loyalty and retention. Through the use of workshops and videotaping exercises, Sharon coaches professionals on how to present their material to clients in a non-technical, caring manner that produces astounding results. For over 15 years, she has consulted with dentists, physicians, financial planners, and certified public accountants. Also, she frequently speaks, lectures and conducts seminars for health care and professional organizations. Sharon coaches in person, via telephone and the Internet. Her training programs have been implemented nationally with unprecedented results in increased profitability (average 45%) and decreased stress. Dr. Tiger holds a Doctorate in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Arkansas, as well as degrees in Communications and Education from Montclair State College and Monmouth College.
Jennifer L. Johnson
Jennifer holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from Texas Woman’s University, with emphasis in the areas of finance and accounting. She graduated in 2001 with honors and was a member of Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, Golden Key International Honor Society, and the National Dean’s List. Jennifer was named Outstanding Student of the Year 2001 by the Dallas Economists Club in February of 2001.
Jennifer has been with Edwards & Associates, PC since 2002 and is a valuable senior member of the team. Her areas of expertise include retirement services, tax and general business. Previously employed by a general dentist for more than seven years, Jennifer was in charge of billing and insurance along with many other duties. This experience brings a unique and valuable perspective to the service she provides the Firm’s clients.
Jennifer was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. When she is not working, she spends time with her husband, Patrick, son, Gage and their family pets. Jennifer enjoys cooking, reading, exercising, watching sports, being outdoors, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Becky has a strong desire to help each and every client achieve their potential and is always ready to help with her knowledge and a friendly smile. Becky is a senior professional whose years of experience are an asset to the team. In addition to her regular areas of general business and tax, she also works closely with Robert in the preparation of personal financial planning sessions for our clients, helping them look to the future and plan for retirement.
Becky, a proud Aggie, graduated from Texas A&M in May 2004 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Soon after graduation, she began working for Edwards & Associates, PC
When she is not hard at work, Becky enjoys cooking, exercising, and Jeeping in Moab with her husband and kids.
Madison Morrow Poe, CPA
Madison is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas. She holds a BBA in accounting from Howard Payne University and an MBA in Healthcare Management.
Madison joined Edwards & Associates, PC in September 2008 and is currently a Senior Accountant in the Firm. She has more than 10 years experience as an accountant in corporate and government entities. Prior to that, she worked for seven years in her father’s orthodontic office in a business/administrative capacity, so dentistry/orthodontics has been a family business her whole life. That experience in conjunction with her accounting background makes her an ideal fit for Edwards & Associates, PC and allows her to relate to and guide her clients on many levels.
Madison was born and raised in Texas. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, reading, cycling, marksmanship and spending time with family and friends.
Cici joined Edwards & Associates, PC in July 2015 after she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is very detail oriented, hardworking, and helpful to others when a hand is needed.
Cici’s background includes A/R, A/P and preparation of financial reports. Her goal is to provide you the information you need to manage your practice to its full potential. In addition to these skills, Cici is fluent in English, Chinese, and Mandarin.
During her spare time, Cici enjoys cooking, travel, and swimming with her two kids and husband. She is currently is working on her Masters in Accounting at The University of Texas at Dallas as she pursues her CPA.
Ash holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. He graduated in 2015. He was a member of honors societies such a Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Beta Alpha Psi. He is currently working towards getting his CPA.
Ash has been employed by other Public Accounting Firms since his junior year of college. He interned with Edwards & Associates, PC and with a larger firm before accepting his role here at the Firm. With his financial and tax experience in catering to niche markets such as dental and healthcare practices, real estate, manufacturing, and technology, Ash brings quite a diverse set of skills to our firm. He is very driven, and always strives to better serve our clients.
In his spare time, he likes to travel, meet people from different cultures, try new cuisine, and spend time with his family and friends.
Erika Thompson, CPA
Erika is a 2015 graduate from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio with an undergraduate degree in business administration with an accounting focus, additionally she obtained her MS in accounting in 2016. She was the accounting tutor at her alma mater and a member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society of Business and the Alpha Chi National Honor Society.
Erika joined our team in 2016 upon graduation and has since pursued and received her CPA. Erika’s ability to identify and solve problems make her a unique asset for our clients.
Her hobbies include playing soccer, hiking, and hanging out with friends and family.
Monica joined Edwards & Associates, PC as an Assistant after having worked for one of the largest advertising companies in Houston. She is very familiar with processing a wide variety of financial documents and reports which makes her a valuable asset to the Firm.
Prior to working for the advertising company, Monica worked in the medical field as both front and back office support in a doctor’s office where she gained considerable experience in the management of a physician’s office.
Monica enjoys trouble shooting and pays strong attention to detail which in combination with her solid time-management skills assists her in keeping up with deadlines and complex projects reliably and consistently.
Monica is a California native who now lives in Garland. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family. Monica also enjoys the beach and traveling.
Amber serves as our Firm Administrator at Edwards & Associates, PC. She handles billings, collections, manages staff benefits and HR duties, IT issues as needed and oversees productivity and workflow to improve The Firm’s functions and efficiencies. She has an outgoing, positive attitude with a creative mind and great organizational skills which make her a great asset to the team.
Vicki is an Account Coordinator and the perfect liaison between our clients and professional staff to ensure we can accurately and efficiently get you the critical financial information you need for your practice. Vicki’s combination of dental experience and customer service make her an excellent addition to our team. Because she understands the management functions of a dental practice, Vicki can easily relate to the specific needs of our clients.
Her 25+ years of dental office management experience includes positions in both front and back office for busy orthodontic and endodontic practices. Vicki combines that experience and a background of customer service with impressive organizational skills and tenacious follow-through to keep things running smoothly for us and for our clients.
Vicki is the proud mother of 3 daughters and when she is not working, Vicki enjoys traveling, outdoor gardening, watching sports and spending time with her family and friends. Vicki is also very active in her neighborhood community.
You could say that Carol Merritt is the face of Edwards & Associates, PC. She is the first one you see when you walk in our office and she is usually the first one to assist clients on the phone. Her eagerness to help and her organizationally driven mind is a huge asset to the Edwards & Associates, PC team. Carol has 10+ years experience as an administrative assistant. Carol lives in McKinney with her husband Matt and son Jake. Carol enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, reading and watching her son play soccer.
Traci is an Account Coordinator and the Executive Assistant to Robert Edwards. In addition, she assists in helping our clients obtain new sources of financing. She joined our team in September 2014. Her attention to detail and strong organizational skills are vital in helping her attend to the many needs of our clients and team.
Traci has over 25 years’ experience in administration for both large and small companies. Prior to Edwards & Associates, PC, she served as firm administrator for another public accounting firm for 4 years and brings that knowledge to her current position.
Raised in central Illinois, Traci couldn’t wait to get to the big (and much warmer) state of Texas. She has one son and three Chihuahuas. Outside the office, she participates in a weekly bowling league, and enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Kristi Alexander Smith
Kristi is the Director of Client Relations for Edwards & Associates, PC. Kristi previously functioned as Robert’s Executive Assistant for 5 years which gave her a great understanding of every aspect of our business and the unique businesses of our clients. Her sense of curiosity, positive attitude, love for people and solving problems has made her transition seamless. Kristi works with all of our new and prospective clients to transition them into the Firm where we can service their needs. Kristi also handles Firm marketing, new client incorporations, state incorporation compliance issues, correspondence regarding estimated tax and extension payments and work flow management.
Outside the office Kristi stays very busy with her three children and their extracurricular activities. She is a proud Texan born and raised, one of her favorite things is to take an impromptu road trip anywhere in Texas. Kristi also enjoys reading, traveling to other states, sporting events and laughing! Most of all, Kristi enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
