Thursday, the House passed H.R.7010 to modify certain provisions related to the forgiveness of loans under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). The tentative PPP program changes announced would extend the current 8-week loan forgiveness period, as well as lower the payroll portion from the current 75% requirement. This bill has not passed the Senate or been signed by the President and is, therefore, not enacted. We expect some changes to the final bill. But it is very likely to pass in some form since there is bipartisan support on this issue. The bill will include other changes as well, and we will put out those details once they are final.
